Gift Registry Software

We have discontinued development on this product until such time as we have the personal available to devote to a browser based version.  However, the current legacy application is still available for evaluation and purchase.  We regret that the automated installer is incompatible with Microsoft Windows XP or later operating systems.

To manually download and install the fully functional 30 use evaluation version of GRS:

1. Send an email to sales@opendoorsoftwaresolutions.com with the following information:
   Company Name *

   Fax
   Email *
   Web URL
   * These are required fields and must match exactly how you want the information printed on reports.
   Once we receive the email, we will send you a Registration Number to unlock the program for 30 uses.  Allow 2 business days for a response.
    
2. If you do not have either Microsoft Access 2000 or 2002, download and install the Access Runtime from http://www.opendoorsoftwaresolutions.com/files/rt2000.exe.  If you have a later or earlier version of MS Access, install the runtime and then follow the special instructions below for forcing the application to run using the runtime.
    
3. Run the GRS Installer:  http://www.opendoorsoftwaresolutions.com/files/GRS/GiftRegistry.exe.
    
4. The installation extracted four font files (dine, girlsare, mtcorsva, tahoma) to "C:\Program Files\Open Door\Registry".  Install these fonts by copying the files to "C:\Windows\Fonts", do not replace existing files.
    
5. create a desktop shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Open Door\Registry\Registry.mde".
   * If you need to force the system to use the Access Runtime, after creating the shortcut, edit the properties of the shortcut and change the Target to ["C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ART\Office\MSACCESS.exe" "C:\Program Files\Open Door\Registry\Registry.mde"].  Include the quotes but not the brackets, there is a space between the two quotes in the middle.
    
6. Run the application by double-clicking on the desktop shortcut, enter the registration information.
